Rocca dei Sanniti Viticoltori is a renowned winemaking expression in the territory of Benevento. Owned by the Zollo family, who boasts generations of winemaking heritage in Benevento, Rocca dei Sanniti represents a legacy of passion and dedication to viticulture. Established on March 30, 1967, by notary Giovanni Barricelli in Benevento, the winery has its roots in the farms acquired by Carmine Zollo, the father of the current owner Maurizio Zollo, dating back to 1911. Situated in the valley of the river Sabato, on the borders of Benevento and San Leucio del Sannio, Rocca dei Sanniti encompasses vineyards, an ancient farm, and the Villa Carel, the residence of the Zollo family. Over the years, additional vineyards have been acquired in Benevento and surrounding municipalities like Torrecuso and Chianche, all contributing to the production of high-quality wines under controlled and guaranteed denominations of origin.
