What to drink in uncertain times - There is no better day than today to try something new and explore the world of wine (starting with Italy of course).

Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of TV. And with that, comes a lot of ads--specifically from alcohol brands. Maybe I’m a prime target for such marketing considering my profession--and internet search history--but I can’t help but feel like now is the perfect time to break away from commercialized alcohol, and start to shake things up.

As you probably know by now, I love wine. But if you’ve read my “What’s in my glass” story, then you would know that wine has not always been my favorite. In fact, my first memory of drinking wine is filled with...well, let’s just say I didn’t enjoy it. It took me quite a while to figure out what I liked. For years, I would pick out a new wine--determined to like it--and just found myself disappointed. Until one day, it all changed. I finally found the one!

Through this process of exploring and discovering new things, not only did I find a wine I enjoyed, I also learned more about my taste palette and what I appreciate. This is why we started our wine business. There are so many people who are terrified of ordering wrong or being stuck with a glass of wine they hate, that they don’t realize those “mistakes” are all a part of the process.

We’re all on a personal journey to become our own version of an oenophile (a wine connoisseur--see I looked it up, so you don’t have to!)
